The Brooklyn Nets didn't have an answer for Nate Robinson in the first-round of the playoffs, and now the Miami Heat are trying to figure out how to contain the diminutive point guard. Robinson finished with 27 points in the Bulls shock Game 1 victory in Miami, but the 5'8 guard may have to contend with the league MVP LeBron James in Wednesday's Game 2. James says he'll take the challenge.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I matched up with him," James said Tuesday. "But I'll take the challenge on [defense]."

Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl has been named the NBA's Coach of the Year for 2012-13. Karl beat out Miami's Erik Spoelstra and New York's Mike Woodson for the award.
The Nuggets went 57-25 (.695) - and finished with a league-best 38-3 (.927) record at home - to secure a No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. They lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first-round however.

There was a time when Michael Beasley was considered to be a future All-Star, but since being drafted by Miami with the No. 2 overall pick in 2008 his career has been plagued by inconsistentcy on the court, and turmoil off it. Joakim Noah has stepped to the defense of teammate Derrick Rose, who has been facing mounting criticism from media and fans about his returning to the Bulls this season. Noah says they shouldn't talk about what they don't know.

As was to be expected, the Brooklyn Nets have reached out to Phil Jackson to gauge his interest in their, now vacant, coaching position. Interim coach P.J. Carlisemo was informed last Sunday that his services would no longer be required, and the organization has wasted no time in contacting Jackson, winner of 11 championships with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.

C'mon Derrick, the jig is up. It's time to admit that you are not coming back this season. Rose spoke just before the Bulls are set to face the Heat in Monday's Game 1 and said that there was still a chance he may return during the playoffs.
