The back muscle that Amar'e Stoudemire pulled prior to Game 2 of the Knicks first-round playoff loss is still bothering the All-Star forward. Stoudemire says he has been prohibited from doing any physical activity and put any plans he may have had to play overseas on hold for the time being.
"Right now all I can do is rest. There's no rehab right now, no cardio, no weightlifting, nothing. They say the best thing for me right now is another three weeks of rest, nothing else."
Amar'e revelead he has fielded offers from overseas teams from countries in Israel, China, Turkey and Spain but would not commit to any club until he was 100% healthy to play. "The chances would be high," Stoudemire said... |

Patty Mills will need to get back to playing basketball eventually and Australia is one of the countries the speedy point guard is considering playing in if the NBA do not resolve their labor dispute promptly. Mills, who was tendered a qualifying offer by the Portland Trailblazers, is currently with the national team at a training camp on the Gold Coast and said the future was uncertain (regarding the NBA) but he was mulling over offers from both European and NBL clubs.

Larry Brown is set to interview with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the vacant head coach position. Brown had thrown his hat into the ring for a spot on Doc Rivers bench as an assistant for the Boston Celtics but may be interested in adding to his career 1,098 wins as a head coach by taking on the Wolves job. Minnesota President David Kahn and Brown have a relationship from the late 70's when Kahn was a young student reporter at UCLA while Brown was a head coach there.

| Marquis Daniels is open to a return to the Boston Celtics again. The swingman last played for the Celtics in February when he collapsed onto the floor after a collision with Gilbert Arenas. Daniels was later diagnosed with a compressed spinal cord which required surgery, and he was eventually traded to the Sacramento Kings for cash to clear a roster spot at the trade deadline. Besiktas of Turkey are still chasing Kobe Bryant to join Deron Williams for next season and according to the head of basketball operations believe there is a 50% chance the Lakers superstar joins them. The talks between the pair had been thought to be off once the club was embroiled in a match-fixing scandal that saw all their bank accounts frozen, now Bryant's representative is set to meet with Besiktas on the 30th of this month to, hopefully, finalise a deal.
