It turns out that Andrew Bogut's back spasms were caused by a protruding disk in the middle of his back. The Australian was forced to miss the Warriors game against the Spurs on Friday night and he will not travel with the team to Minnesota against the Timberwolves. The extent of the injury was revealed in an MRI exam taken after he was pulled from the San Antonio game. Bogut has been trying to come back from his ankle surgery all season and finally played his first back-to-back game when the flare up occurred. The Warriors will not rush him - as has been their stance all season - but are hoping to have him at some stage of their road trip over the next week.
Bogut had previously suffered back problems in 2008-09 when a stress fracture in his back after a nasty fall forced him out for half the season.
