| Pau Gasol Hoping To Return Before Season's End | ||||

Just two weeks into his recovery from a torn plantar fascia in his right foot, Lakers power forward Pau Gasol says he's hoping to get back with the team before the regular season ends in mid-April. The original timetable for a return to action was 6-8 weeks but Gasol says he's been making strong progress and is aiming for a return as soon as he can. "It’s a thing you take one day at a time and you go with the symptoms and see how well and how quick your body is able to heal a certain injury,” said Gasol. "It varies from different individuals -- so we’ve made a lot of good progress. I expect to get off crutches very soon and we’re on the right path. That’s all I know right now two weeks into the injury." Gasol was injured in a win over the Nets on February 5th at Barclays Center.
