It was real once again at Barclays Center last night as Joe Johnson saved the day for the Brooklyn Nets twice, much to the relief of boss Jay Z sitting courtside. Johnson hit two clutch shots - one to send the game into overtime with 1.3 seconds remaining, and the finally the game-winner as time expired in the extra period. Johnson ran back towards his teammates after the game-winner as Jay could almost literally be seen breathing a sigh of relief. After the game Johnson said his teammates and coaches have the utmost faith in him to take shots like that.
"When those situations occur, and coach draws up a play and basically puts it in my hands and, uh, tells me to come on. I just try to do a good job of getting space and make the best play possible," said Johnson after the game. "My teammates had the utmost confidence in me in the huddle and the coaches and I just try to come through in the big moments like that."
