The battle for New York between the Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets is about to get much bigger after it has been revealed that both franchises are making a bid to host the 2015 All-Star game. As the NBA prepares to launch into festivities for this year's event in Houston, the two teams have made bids to host the event in their respective buildings. Madison Square Garden, long touted as the 'world's most famous arena' and the Nets brand new, state-of-the-art Barclays Center are also at battle. The garden wants to remain the city's top arena for big events, while Barclays, behind some amazing shows from Jay-Z, has established itself as a desirable alternate venue looking to steal some of MSG's shine. According to the NBA, no decision has been made on where the game will be played, and there will be no announcement on the winner this weekend. The 2014 All-Star game is going to be held in New Orleans. That city last had the event in 2008.
