|Metta World Peace Suspended One-Game|
The Lakers will be without Metta World Peace for tonight's game at Barclays Center against the Brooklyn Nets after the forward was suspended one-game for his altercation with Detroit's Brandon Knight on Sunday afternoon. Knight alleged that World Peace threw a punch at him after the pair got tangled, World Peace was hit with a flagrant 1 foul but the Pistons point guard was after a more severe penalty.
After the game he told reporters his version of events.
"The play needs to be reviewed because he definitely threw a punch," Knight told reporters after the game. "It felt like he threw a punch. That's why I reacted the way I did. The play was over, and he grabbed me around the neck. If someone grabs you around the neck, you're not just going to let that happen. You do what you need to get that person off you."
Los Angeles are looking to win their third straight game, but will have to do so without World Peace and Dwight Howard who is missing his thirs straight game in a row with his shoulder injury.
