The Orlando Magic's season just got a little worse with news that Glen 'Big Baby' Davis is out with a fractured left foot that he suffered in yesterday's loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Davis has been one of the Magic's better performing players in a season which has seen the franchise drop to 14-31, and are currently on a 7-game losing streak.

From The Orlando Sentinel:

Davis fractured his left foot in the opening minutes of the Magic's 113-97 loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, leaving a rebuilding team that already was in freefall without one of its co-captains and its most effective low-post defender.

"I just wish him the best," said point guard and co-captain Jameer Nelson. "I gave him a hug. There's really nothing you can say to a guy other than, 'I'm here for you,' or something like that. I just hope everything goes well for him."

Davis left the arena to make his way to Orlando during the game, and he will be examined in Central Florida on Thursday. Team officials will learn more about the severity of the injury and whether Davis will need surgery from that follow-up exam.

"It's disappointing," shooting guard J.J. Redick said. "You never want to see a teammate get hurt. We played without him before, and we'll have to just continue to roll with the punches, and guys are going to have to step up."
