LaMarcus Aldridge saved the Portland Trailblazers not once, but twice, last night against the Dallas Mavericks. The All-Star power forward helped his team come back from 21-points down at one stage to defeat the Mavericks, 106-104. Aldridge first hit a long three-pointer that tied the game at 104, before later receiving the inbounds pass and calmly banking in a fadeaway jumper as time expired.

After the game Aldridge, who finished with 29 points, 13 rebounds, two blocks and his first made three of the season, spoke on his shot.

“This is what you live for,” Aldridge said of his game-winner. “That one felt great. That one felt real easy.”

Teammate Nicolas Batum was happy for his teammate.

"He was smiling like a rookie, like his first NBA game," Batum said about Aldridge afterward. "We needed those two shots (the 3-pointer and the game winner). They show people that he really is an All-Star. He is an All-Star. He's a go-to guy."
