The Dallas Mavericks D-League affiliate is hoping to lure former scoring champ Allen Iverson to play with them this season. It's a well known fact that Iverson still craves a return to the NBA - despite being 37-years of age now - and the Texas Legends are hoping that he could be enticed to play and perhaps move back into the league via the D-League. Iverson has not played in the NBA since 2009-10 when he finished his second stint with the Philadelphia 76ers, he then played (very) briefly in Turkey before returning to the US.

The Legends have previously made offers to Iverson which he has resisted, but there's been a change in circumstances which has seen the team place a couple of former NBA'ers back into the league, Mike James (also a 37-year old) being the most recent example.

James signed two 10-day contracts with Dallas that ultimately turned into a guaranteed deal for the season.

Delonte West is also now playin with the Legends as well.
