Rajon Rondo's season is over, and the Boston Celtics chances of making a late season push for the playoffs may be done as well. The team confirmed that Rondo had torn his ACL, he had been withdrawn from today's game against the Miami Heat with a hyper-extended knee suffered in Friday night's loss to the Atlanta Hawks, but after the injury did not improve over the past 48-hours he underwent an MRI exam today which confirmed the worst for Rondo. He will miss the remainder of the season and the Celtics are scheduling surgery for him as soon as possible. Rondo had been averaging 13.7 points per game, 11.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds and was voted in as an All-Star starter for the Eastern Conference team.
