Much has been said about James Harden's contract situation. Is he a max player, or isn't he? Since the much publicised trade to the Houston Rockets just before the beginning of the season the 2011-12 Sixth Man of the Year winner has been balling out of control for his new team, so much so that an All-Star berth is a very likely possibility this season.

Harden has embraced his role as the team's go-to man, and has upped his scoring average to 26.4 points per game, while averaging 4.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per outing as well. Not bad for a guy many thought couldn't lead a team without Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Tonight, in Philadelphia, the 76ers got a first-hand look at part of the reason why the Rockets coveted Harden so much: his ability to handle the ball and drive to the bucket. Spencer Hawes was left bewildered. Houston couldn't manage the win though, losing 107-100.
