The hip injury that Jordan Hill suffered during the Lakers loss to Denver last week is set to keep him out for the remainder of the season. Hill underwent an arthrogram test on Fridaywhich revealed the extent of the damage. He is suffering from a torn labrum, and has loose fragments in his hip. Hill has been advised that surgery will be needed to repair the injury, which would cause him to miss the remainder of the season. He will seek a second opinion before he schedules surgery, Hill's agent, Kevin Bradbury, told ESPNLosAngeles.com. If Hill opts for surgery, the recovery period would be approximately six months, according to Hill. Hill doubted the second opinion would change his course of action to undergo a procedure. "I definitely need surgery," Hill said. "It's definitely mandatory. They said I have fragments floating around that need to be out. It definitely needs to get done." The Lakers entered Friday ranked 26th in the NBA in bench scoring at 26.2 points per game, and Hill was a big reason that ranking wasn't worse. The four-year veteran is averaging 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game.
