To coincide with the launch of the M9 sneaker, Jordan Brand will be releasing a trilogy of mini-documentaries highlighting Brooklyn native, Carmelo Anthony, and his rise to prominence in the city of his birth. The first of the three dropped earlier today, and features insight into a young Melo's formative years in the public housing of Red Hook, Brooklyn. The video includes commentary from Anthony's family and friends, along with basketball luminaries such as former Knick, Bernard King. We also hear from Anthony himself on what it means to him to represent Red Hook, play for the Knicks in the greatest city in the world. Melo's M9 sneaker releases nationwide in the US on January 9th.
