| Kobe Bryant Calls Clippers Legit Contenders | ||||

The Los Angeles Clippers have made the entire basketball stand up and take notice of their amazing start to the season so far, including the king of Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant. The Lakers superstar says their Staples Center co-tenants are the real deal this season, and will be a legitimate contender for the NBA title.
"Oh, for sure. For sure," Bryant said after practice Thursday when asked if the 25-8 Clippers have legitimate shot at the title. "They're definitely one of the top contenders. They're very spectacular and they're fun to watch. There's no question about it. They have higher jumpers than 'Showtime' did, though." The 'Showtime' comparison Bryant made was in reference to former Lakers great Magic Johnson, who said that this incarnation of the Clippers team was similar to the Lakers teams of the 1980's that he was the floor general on. The Lakers face the Clippers tonight at the Staples Center.
