| Rockets Sign Scott Machado To 3-Year Deal | ||||

New York bred point guard Scott Machado has impressed the Houston Rockets enough during summer camp to be given a three-year deal by the franchise. Machado's deal will be partially guaranteed and he is set to sign the contract later this week. Machado spent his summer working hard to impress the Rockets since going undrafted in this year's NBA draft, he also apent some time playing on the New York summer circuit as well. Machado will likely be battling with players such as Toney Douglas and veteran Shaun Livingston for backup minutes to Jeremy Lin. Machado says he's happy with his improvement during the summer. "I feel like every day I progressed and got better just getting more comfortable and more used to the style of play and the pace of the game, the players around me,” he said.
