New Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn only wants one thing from Glen 'Big Baby' Davis when camp opens in September, he wants the burly forward to be in shape. Davis, who is expected to be the Magic's starting power forwad this season ( a role he has been seeking for some time), told the media that Vaughn had a face-to-face chat with him and outlined what he wants to see from Davis at training camp. “Just be ready,” Davis recalled Thursday. “Just making sure that you’re ready. You’re going to have the opportunity to be a contributor here. You’re going to have the opportunity to do big things, and you just be ready, making sure that you come in [to training camp Oct. 1] the right way, in the right shape, and just holding me accountable.” Davis added that he was excited for the new season under the first-time head coach. “His upside is just amazing. Where he’s been in his life and his career, the things that he’s encountered as far as a basketball level and things like that is high. And he’s young. He’s ready."
