Watch out New York City, one more Smith brother has been added to the Knicks roster for the coming NBA season. Joining the mercurial J.R. will be his younger brother Chris - who played on the Knicks Summer League team recently. Although terms of the contract were not released, it is believed that the deal is non-guranteed. J.R. posted a picture of his brother signing his deal on his Twitter account yesterday.

Smith, a point guard, could find himself assigned to the Knicks D-League affiliate, Erie BayHawks, because the roster is already loaded at the point guard position (Raymond Felton, Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni).

The agent for Smith, who shot just 29 percent and averaged 5.2 points in 19.3 minutes per game during Summer League, says that is one option the Knicks were considering.

"The D-League is an option, as it is for all rookies," Cornstein said. "We are very excited about him joining the Knicks and look forward to him getting a real opportunity to contribute."
