Hornets Match Phoenix Offer Sheet To Eric Gordon

As expected, the New Orleans Hornets have matched the Phoenix Suns four-year, $58 million offer sheet on shooting guard Eric Gordon. Despite comments from Gordon in recent weeks that he preferred the Suns, New Orleans was always going to make sure the talented scorer would remain to forge a solid nucleus with rookie Anthony Davis.
The Hornets had an 11:59 p.m. Saturday deadline to match.
