| Spurs, Tim Duncan Agree On New 3-Year Deal | ||||

Much like his counterpart Kevin Garnett in Boston, Tim Duncan has agreed to terms for a new three-year contract that will see the power forward finish out his career in San Antonio. Duncan has always maintained that he would be a "Spur for life" and the new deal comes as no shock to anyone, although perhaps the financial terms may. Similar to Garnett's deal with the Celtics, Duncan is due to be paid somewhere in the $36 million range and does include a no-trade clause. The deal is fully guaranteed, the franchise rewarding Duncan for his years of loyal service. 'The Big Fundamental' averaged 15.4 points and 9.0 rebounds last season as the Spurs reached the Western Conference Finals only to drop a 2-0 lead and lose to the Thunder 4-2.
