The Phoenix Suns are preparing for the seemingly inevitable loss of Steve Nash by engaging in talks with talented scorer, but often immature, Timberwolves free agent Michael Beasley. The forward is an unrestricted free agent and is set for his second meeting with the Suns later this week.

Beasley is flying into Phoenix for the meeting and according to the ESPN.com report, the Suns are expected to make him an offer before he leaves town. Beasley is considered a gifted scorer with enormous potential in the NBA but his lapses in judgment over the years have earned him a reputation that he can't seem to shake. The Suns believe that they have the foundation in place to curb Beasley's erratic behaviour.

Beasley averaged 11.5 points per game and 4.4 rebounds for Minnesota last season.
