Kevin Garnett will return to the Boston Celtics for his 18th season, and 19th and 20th as well if reports emerging today are confirmed. According to the Boston-Herald, Garnett is set to sign a three-year deal worth $34 million to return - and finish his career - in Beantown. There was talk that Garnett would retire but a strong finish to the second half of the season, and a playoff showing that reminded many of the young KG were enough to convince him to return. Once that decision was made, a return to the Celtics was the only option for Garnett according to the report. "The decision came down to whether KG wanted to keep playing," said one source. "And once he decided that he did, it was going to be Boston. He wasn’t going to leave Doc (Rivers) and those guys and play anywhere else." Garnett averaged 15.8 ppg and 8.2 rebounds in the regular season but upped those numbers to 19.2 and 10.3 during the C's run to the Conference Finals.
