The Boston Celtics are interested in Memphis guard OJ Mayo, the franchise had tried to make a deal for Mayo at the deadline in March and apparently they still have interest. Boston is prepared to offer Brandon Bass in a sign-and-trade for the Grizz guard, Bass opted out of his deal and even though he said he would like to remain in Beantown, he is seeking a considerable increase on last year's salary of $4.25 million. The Celtics are looking to offer Jeff Green more money to return next season if Bass prices himself to high for them to re-sign him. The teams are still in talks and no deal is imminent as yet.
