The Washington Wizards have reached an agreement to receive Emeka Okafor in a trade from the New Orleans Hornets who would receive Rashard Lewis and the 46th pick in next week's draft. Trevor Ariza is also included in the deal, he is being sent to the Wizards as part of the package. Okafor will help add even more size to a Washington front court that includes Brazilian center Nene, acquired at the trade deadline last season. New Orleans GM Dell Demps said the move was just another step in the rebuiding process for the club. "We are rebuilding our team and this is one step in our new direction," Hornets general manager Dell Demps said. "This trade will provide an opportunity for our young players to develop and create flexibility to add to our core group moving forward." The Hornets have also created cap space with the move - Lewis is entering the last season of a six-year, $118 million contract - and will now focus on re-signing shooting guard Eric Gordon, along with expected number one pick Anthony Davis.
