Russell Westbrook says Miami's Shane Battier tried to "punk" him as the two were involved in a minor incident just before halftime of yesterday's opening game of the NBA Finals. A double technical was called on both players as Westbrook and Battier became tangled, Westbrook hit back at Battier by swinging his arm before the referee ended it with the technical call. Westbrook said after the game that it was the spark that he needed. "That's all I need every once in a while. I don't know what he was thinking," Westbrook said. "He was trying to punk me. I needed something. We needed something." The Thunder were down as much as 13-points headed into the half before finally drawing to within 7-points when the buzzer sounded. OKC's exciting point guard Westbrook had a horror shooting start, connecting on just 3/10 of his shots, but finished just two rebounds shy of a triple-double in the end, 27 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.
