It promises to be one of the pivotal match-ups of the Western Conference Finals, the point guard battle between Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook could decide which of these two teams advances to the NBA's championship round. Tony Parker, who has had an MVP-caliber season so far, promises that he will be attacking the Thunder's dynamo Westbrook from the outset. Parker said it won't be like the other point guards Westbrook has faced in the first couple of rounds of the playoffs. “I’m definitely going to go at him,” said Parker, 30, who is averaging a team-best 19.1 points and 7.1 assists in the postseason. “It’s not going to be like Dallas or the Lakers, where their point guards are not as aggressive. I’m going to go at him and make sure he works a little bit.” Westbrook says he is ready. He hasn’t forgotten what happened the last time the Thunder visited San Antonio. “It was a bad game for our team,” Westbrook said. “We came out sluggish and kind of let them do what they wanted to do, especially Tony Parker.”
