The Mavericks had a couple of extra guys on their bench, fortunately for Dallas they weren't able to be used throughout the game. It turns out that the two gentlemen, conveniently wedged between Delonte West and Vince Carter, were Pistons fans and had legitimate tickets to the game and were sitting in their correct seats. A couple of fans were sitting courtside during the Mavericks-Pistons game Tuesday at the Palace, drinking beer like they were at a bar. The Detroit announcers were going pretty crazy trying to figure out who these guys were and why they were there. After all, it’s not too often you see fans sitting between players, enjoying cocktails no less. Wonder if they gave Vince Carter any tips on how to get his jumpshot going while they were there.
