 It can be tough at times for foreign players coming to the NBA to adjust to the pace of the American league, other times a player may need to accept lesser minutes than he may have been usd to playing in international leagues. Aron Baynes, the Australian forward recently signed by the San Antonio Spurs, is currently in his transition period now.
Lucky for the Aussie, his transition will be a lot smoother thanks to the environment he has been brought into. The Spurs are a class organization known for being astute at developing international players - they currently have eight foreign-born guys on the roster - and Baynes also has a support system in place that includes national teammate Patty Mills, and current Spurs assistant, Brett... |

 The San Antonio Spurs only visit New York twice a year, and since we'd already spoken to Australian point guard Patty Mills and done a nice write-up on him in December, we felt that it was time to grab the diminutive Mills and get his thoughts on-camera.
Mills and the Spurs visited Brooklyn for the first time last night - and although Mills did not see much court-time (despite Manu Ginobili being inactive for the evening), he came on late when the Spurs already had the game in hand... |

 Once we quizzed Nate about Jimmy Butler perhaps entering the 2013 Slam Dunk contest, it was only fitting to go to the man himself to get his thoughts on whether entering the weekend's gala event is on his mind.
